Tru Thoughts posse was in the building this week, with label bosses Paul Jonas and Rob Luis both over from the UK, plus Melbourne correspondent Lance Ferguson. Rob did a little mix for us in the studio with some new and forthcoming Tru Thoughts biz including Hint's massive 'At the Dance'. Also in the mix was a remix that Rob and TM Juke (aka Me & You) did of the classic 'Golden Brown'. Unlikely to get a release on Tru Thoughts, but maybe a future Rebtuz EP? As for Lance, not content to stop at his Bamboos and Lanu projects for the label (not to mention Cookin on 3 Burners and Black Feeling for other labels) he's now producing Kylie Auldist's debut album for Tru Thoughts.

To keep the Tru Thoughts link, I decided to put on the Nostalgia 77 remix of Natural Self after Rob's set, and thought 'this is a subtle remix' to myself while it was playing. Hmmm, that's 'cause I was playing the original.

Also got to spin just a handful of the many great tunes I have to share with you at the moment (next week, always next week!). Jay-Z's new soundtrack has some great tunes including the Just Blaze-produced title cut. Never having played anything from Burial's superb debut album, I felt the need to atone before his second comes out next week. A few other dubstep tunes went with it, including the massive 'Night'. Also an infectious cut from Stray's new album, 'the next Amy Winehouse' Adele and the debut of Straightup Recordings.

Trainspotters' Corner had the new Colman Brothers on Wah Wah 45s alongside the Clarke Boland Big Band from 1969. In the words of KRS-One 'check the similarity'.

Stylin broadcasts live each Friday on Australia's best known community station, 3RRR-FM Melbourne.
