The first live session in the brandnew soulsearching studio Frankfurt. and a special i had in mind since a long time already:
focus on a label, which is very well represented here in the show with almost every release. talking about Melting Pot Music straight out of Cologne, run by Oliver v. Felbert. Names that ring a bell here are Lefties Soul Connection, Kutiman, Breakout, and most recently, DJ DAY. so when Oliver asked me if i am interested in a session on a monday night, i immediately said 'come over' and as a matter of fact DJ DAY is on his first little european tour and joined him on the way from Cologne to Frankfurt and back again after a long, very enjoyable recording session including a heavy live DJ mix plus words and brandnew exclusive music from forthcoming Melting Pot Music releases like Miles Bonny and Kutiman's full length, which will be released sometime in autumn this year. All about Soul, Funk, HipHop, Afrobeats and far beyond . . . check mpmsite.com and myspace.com/djday for more detailed information. Guys, its been a real pleasure and loads of fun doin this - we could have gone on until the early morning diggin in the crates . . .Thanks very much...rischtisch!
If you want to catch DJ DAY on the wheels of Serato steel this week here's your last chances for the summer: 21st June Subway Club Cologne, 22nd June Free Spirit Bratislava and 23rd Mancuso Tuebingen. Highly recommended. Keep your eyes and ears open for a soulpatrol meets Melting Pot Music session later this year in Frankfurt!
Long overdue replays of Yellow Sunshine, William De Vaughn and yes, Frank Zappa out of my soulpatrol collection to round things off.

Back next week with another pure soulpatrol box...summer breeze 2007.

In the meantime join me for the summer edition of the excellent Four Seasons Parties in Bolzano/Italia this friday, 22nd on the terrace of Rise Club. Alongside Egon Sirabella & Paolo Marris. Lookin forward to this!
And one day later, Saturday 23rd, back on the decks @ Hafen 2 with Al-X for the summer madness edition of COSMIC FUNK.
Last ride on the Boogie, Disco, House, Jazzfunk and Soultrain before the summer break. Kick off 23h.

enjoy the music,

As far as I know, I am not a robot.
