The music was feeling extra good this show, from jazz to gospel to latin to soul to bruk to hip hop to drum & bass to downtempo. Album wise, check out Freestyle's reissue of the Basement Boys Presents Mudfoot Jones, taking on various older jazz styles with house and other club rhythms. For a solid latin compilation, Soul Jazz's 'New York Latin Hustle' is a pretty great place to start, packed with heavyweight classics. Looking forward to hearing more of the new albums from Donnie, Elektrons and Sa-Ra Creative Partners. It seems the latter have not split after all and will soon have an album on Babygrande with many of the cuts that have been hot on the CDR circuit the last few years. We also had more from three quality downtempo EPs from Free the Robots, Julien Dyne and MoO towards the end of the show. Finally, must mention the Sound Stylistics 'Keeping On', undoubtedly based on Donald Byrd's 'Think Twice'.
