I sometimes mention current recommended albums in this description accompanying the shows. This week I can recommend four albums being released later this year by Melbourne's hardest working man in show business, guitarist and producer Lance Ferguson. His future bruk soul project is Lanu's 'This is My Home' for Tru Thoughts and Ubiquity with guest appearances from Aloe Blacc, Quantic, Kero One and Melbourne's finest. The same labels bring 'Rawville', the second album from funk heavyweights the Bamboos, which features local diva Kylie Auldist on the soul monster 'I Don't Wanna Stop'. More funk with Cookin on 3 Burners' album 'Baked, Broiled and Fried' which will be released on Freestyle and Knowfoowl Freestyle is also behind the 'Black Feelings' compilation, designed to look like a collection of rare versions of funk and jazz classics, but really the work of Lance and his merry men. As well as 'Fire Eater' and 'The Blessing Song' which we heard, look out for great versions of 'Night of the Wolf' and 'Executive Party'.
