Here we are at the end of 2006 with the last regular show, and a misty-eyed tribute to the legendary James Brown. Every time I turn in the radio at the moment I've been hearing tributes to the man, all deserved of course, but I thought it would be worth doing something a little different and focussing on some of his work as producer.

Album tip for this week is Peven Everett's 'Reflections of Misconception' easily the best of the recent batch of home-made albums he's released in recent months.

It was good to have Andy Mitchell from Wellington's Jewel School radio show drop in while he's in Melbourne. Of course, there were some sweet NZ treats included in his selection.

Next week is the big one - Stylin Loves 2006. I better get back to making my selections.

Stylin broadcasts live each Friday on Australia's best known community station, 3RRR-FM Melbourne.
