Lots of amazing new music this week, but not so much emphasis on the hip hop. As the nights are drawing in over here in the UK we need some music to make us move, to help keep us warm. There is only so much tea you can drink after all… So on this edition of Hood Radio Show, I have been digging deep to pull out some disco treats. Check out the wonderful sounds of Escort, an eleven piece disco orchestra coming out of Brooklyn. Type 'weareescort' into myspace to find out more!

Tune of the week has to go to Pete Simpson and Small Arms Fiya, coming straight out of Sheffield UK with this hot slice of hip hop soul. I was also glad to track down a copy of Shoes new EP, Afro Rocks volume 1. You will not believe what he has done to Green Velvet. This one is on constant rotation at the moment…

Usual slice of unusual re edits coming through this week with the Rebtuz crew shaking up Yummy Bingham, but the winner for originality this week goes to Sitar Beat Records and their edit of Disco 82. Bollywood discotheque anyone? The revolutions continue.

As far as I know, I am not a robot.
