Well Spring has definently hit hard with an impact like the beat on the two. My thoughts fly to lying in the sun in the park with the sun beating down on my face and beer in hand. This year with baby crawling over me at the same time. So a laid back start to the show this week with couple of tracks off two !K7 albums that have been released in the past week. The first is a Henrik Schwarz take on the now infamous DJ Kicks series with some mighty fine tunes. This is the sort of album I could have just let play through the whole show it is so soulful. The second album of choice this week is from Danish duo Koop. A hilariously tasty jazz journey into flavours of the carribean and movie themes. Laid down some old jazz classics from none other than Cannonball Adderley and Milt Jackson; but fear not it is not all about the jazz. I break out some broken beats and a bit of glitch as well and head down a mixtape path with some classics from Mark Rae and Omar. Ending on a note from Tru Thought's latest recording Spanky Wilson (with Quantic Soul Orchestra) "Waiting for your touch". I hope you dig the flavours this week. peace!!
