so,...well......how can i say that....i totally forgot to tell you who won the soulsearching world cup 2006, shame on me! big shouts and congratulations to the man with one of the best dj-names i've ever heard: out of new york, member of the aphrodisiac sound system, the cup goes to dj ladies please!
if there are enuff requests i will repeat his mix later this year for another round of bootyshakin pleasure...silver goes to dj lacerate, scratching the sambas for far out and the 3rd one has to be toshio matsuura's deep jazz mix. but don't get confused, all mixes were ace, thanks again to everyone who joined in - back for the europeans then in 2008.

and yes - the socceroos by your very own brother b was a highlight , too !!! still in my ipod on rotation, but that stays between me & you , ok?

back to this week - always welcome, always edgy and rough and hip hop and BASSlines - the return of zero dB to the show with a rather cool mix courtesy of dave da gato. check their new album, which has just been released officially this week - its called BONGOS, BLEEPS & BASSLINES and its on ninja tune and its superbad! cheers to the man in barca for the mix!

lovin that ali farka toure tune, and the live version is even better! watch out for a producer by the name of astoria. will be releasing stuff through inphusion music.. . cool, rob! and , . . . . . . after quite a while of stillness - jazzanova are back with a sneak preview to teh shape of things to come in 07 then. brilliant songwriting and on a folky tip on tha t little 7-inch, to be released in december. also soon available - the new TY album! check it.

back next week with ,eva be mixtape , 1st one in the "ladies first" series in october. won't tell you about the other 3 now...

enjoy the music,

As far as I know, I am not a robot.
