Two hip hop albums to check this week with Lupe Fiasco's 'Food & Liquor' now being official and the consistent Count Bass D coming with a new set 'Act Your Waist Size'. The Xantone Blacq tune is a killer, as is the Vibrations on a rare groove tip. A free-flowing Trainspotters' Corner segment started with Soulpatrol's 'Qualified' (hi Michael!), which sampled some piano from Tata Vasquez' 'Suite Guaracho'. I thought I had sampled a siren sound from 'Suite Guaracho' for my version of 'Zouk', but it was actually a different tune from the same compilation. 'Zouk' was based around a bassline that has now just been reworked again by Beatconductor with 'Sunshine'. Beatconductor is also known as Beatfanatic and he remixed the Tata Vasquez tune too at one point. Phew!
