what a week . . . how much inspiration can one person inhale in a few days time ?

been in the studio after last weeks show to record a little feature with Lars Bartkuhn, whose album "The New Continent" on Sonarkollektiv is one of the best releases this year for me. So we talked a bit, listened to some music and time flew by, almost forget to do the interview and the mixtape! and after we finished this in the middle of the night we went back to my record shelfs and listened two more hours to gems rediscovered until the early morning . . . Lars is a musician in its true sense, feelin, playin and lovin music ! He played all instruments on his album, arranged, produced and delivered his very own definition of music - goodbye dancing, hello god! muito obrigado, Lars.

last saturday then the celebration of the 11th anniversary of this show at Hafen2 alongside my special guest Alex Barck, 1/6 of Jazzanova and one of my favourite DJs. Thanks to everyone who made this a very special night. Music, Lights, S O U ND & ....YOU ! and no, the band is still not ready . . . sorry for those who came to see Jazzanova live, but there is no band yet, they are working on it. and nobody said, that its gonna be a live-concert! We recorded a little special for the international show as well before we went to the club, so keep your ears open for this. Big thanks to Alex again!Jazzanova will be back in full effect in spring then - live. on stage! Go and get their "Of All These Things" Album - next step into soulmusic.

while picking up my records & stuff at Hafen2 on sunday then and havin a relaxed evening at home in mind someone called me and invited us to see Randy Crawford & Joe Sample Trio live at Alte Oper. All i can say is : i love Randy Crawford ! her voice, her pure niceness, she is truly blessed and one of THE voices in the world of music. She can do Jazz, Soul, Gospel, Blues . . . Best concert i have seen for ages.

and then....totally different but brilliant as well: Gonzales and The Together Band last tuesday at Mousonturm. The guy is a genius, not only musicwise but as an Entertainer he knows exactly how to set up a show big time.

much more music out of the soulpatrol box in the show as well, check out Q-Tip with Norah Jones, Theo Parrish, Cal Gibsons Edit for Gil Scott-Heron, a little acapella version of a Jazzanova tune and Ivan Lins out of Brasil ! Simply beautiful.

Off weekend ahead, much needed now.

enjoy the music,

next show with a special guestmix by the "easy does it" crew out of vienna, pure soul heaven.

As far as I know, I am not a robot.
