RIP Essbjorn Svensson who tragically died in a scuba diving accident earlier this week. We heard two cuts from his trio's impressive discography.

Lots of great music this week but I'll single out two tracks for a special mention. The track by Swedish skweee producer Beem is on his excellent new album 'The Future' and was made using only sounds from soda cans!

After two visits to Stylin, many years as Melbourne's leading live techno performer and co-producing a remix of Plaid with Derrick May in Carl Craig's studio (no joke!), Christian Vance is finally about to release his debut single. 'Tiger Snake' should appeal to fans of Carl's 'Landcruising' album and will soon be released on Swiss label Perspektiv with a remix by Quarion. Expect more to follow as Christian has set to work refining a vast bank of tracks used in his live sets.
