Been enjoying listening to old tracks for the past few weeks, stuff that got me hooked on sampled sounds and drew my tastes away from thrash metal. Yes you read that right, so starting off the show this week, some top class production from Major Force and Sam Server on the MoWax label. More early Nineties pressure from Dread Flimstone before we get back to the new stuff…

Standout tracks this week come from Raw Fusions Simbad, with his take on Bill Withers Ain’t No Sunshine and the excellent Sofrito Specials 001 EP with both sides getting played on the show. Huge Afrobeat sounds with a dance floor twist from Capstone.

Album of the week has to go to Erykah Badu, finally out on gatefold vinyl… Its been five years since her last LP and the new material does not disappoint. Two tracks from the Amerykah album, the first produced by Shafiq Husayn from SA-RA Creative Partners, and the second tune produced by Madlib

Enjoy the show!
